I think at one point while I was recovering in my room, I could hear what seemed like a lot of voices. I felt there was too much noise for me when I just wanted some quiet and rest. The nurse that came in advised me what was normal after having a general anaesthetic which was fine as it was good to know what i would feel after my surgery. But I did feel like there was more than one nurse in the room who didn't really need to be there which just added to the noise level. Otherwise the staff who took care of me were really great and caring. They were very understanding, friendly, and genuinely caring and gentle. Food was actually quite good for a hospital, especially the porridge and macaroni cheese.
Was seen in November and 3 months later had Shoulder Decompression Surgery. I would have preferred the operation sooner but other than that nothing disappointed.
All the staff were kind and helpful and made sure my visit was as smooth, informed and as comfortable as possible.
Would love to give a shout out to everyone but given the meds I was on briefly I don't remember most of the names. Having said that, the young nurse treating me directly after the surgery was caring and attentive, something sorely missing in many hospitals (I'm looking at you Homerton) and the nurse looking after me post surgery once I was returned to my room was called Yasmin and she did everything to make me comfortable and relaxed until I left.
Huge thanks to the truly wonderful Elroy, star physiotherapist! Thanks to his skill and dedication, I am now well on the road to full mobility again. I have enjoyed his friendly support and expertise together at every stage. Staff like Elroy are worth their weight in gold - I hope all the Hospital managers value such staff. and don't take them for granted! Best wishes, Dan
Everything occurred on time. Everyone was very caring and professional. Totally taken care of from start to finish. One little disappointment was I was given the ward number to contact should I have any concerns. I did have a few questions to ask a few days after surgery. However I called the number provided twice and left answer machine messages but no one contacted me back. I had to contact the physiotherapy department on the Monday morning to receive the answers and resolve my concerns.
THIS PLACE HAS COMPLETELY SCAMMED ME AND REFUSES TO ANSWER A SINGLE EMAIL TO THEIR COMPLAINTS DEPARTMENT. As an immigrant to the UK, I am very new to how health services here work and was not aware that when I booked an appointment for a …
I had an appointment at 7am, ward doesn't open until 7.30am, the doctor starts at 8.30am. I needed a injection in my joint that took maybe 15mins. I was not seen until 11am. Half a day wasted just waiting on a bed which could have been used …
I would like to thank all the staff at The London Independent Hospital who were involved in my treatment. I was informed regularly of any updates to my surgery. …
Awful service, took over 45 mins for a blood test as the staff were just chatting behind the counter. The place wasn't even busy. Staff were incredibly rude too. …
My experience during my recent stay was exemplary. I cannot thank the staff and practicing consultant enough at London Independent Hospital for the unbelievably high level of care, support and expert advice I received. Superb experience, and nothing to improve upon.
